Meditate with SURPASS IMPASSE

SUCCESSFUL CLASS COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFICATE OF SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION PROVIDED

Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive an authorized certificate of completion and may claim the status of an official Thought Resolution Protocol™ Mediator. Mediators successfully completing this Master Class are also qualified to conduct court-annexed cases per Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code Title 7, Chapter 154 Section 23, to serve as a court-annexed mediator.  


To qualify for the Successful Completion Certificate, the participant must:

  • Completion of all modules and successful passing of the quiz at the end of each with a score of 75% or better. Retests are provided as needed.
  • Completion and submission of all of the required assignments. 
  • Submission of a total of 5 hours of Mock Mediation Zoom productions, whereby the participant serves as the mediator, demonstrating the Thought Resolution Protocol.  The Mock Mediation sessions are graded by a panel of Thought Resolution Protocol specialists, and feedback and coaching are provided at the end of each submission.  Participants must receive a grade of 75% or better from our panel of Thought Resolution Protocol approved specialists. 

CLASS FORMAT

This course offers a comprehensive learning experience and is presented in three different formats.  

  1. Online via videos, PowerPoint presentations, assignments, Quizzes, and a Final Examination.
  2. Live Presentations By Experienced Mediators
  3. Class participants upload their self-produced mock mediation videos, demonstrating the Thought Resolution Protocol™, and receive feedback and one-on-one coaching from the instructors.

QUIZZES AND MOCK MEDIATION VIDEO PRACTICE

The Pillars of the Thought Resolution Protocol™ (TRP) Online Zoom Master Class are the following:· History of Alternative Dispute Resolution/ Mediation· Mediation Ethics· TRP Theory· Opening the Session· Caucus and Joint Sessions· TRP Mediation Intervention Language· TRP Composition· Closing the Session· Comprehensive Recorded Video Mock Mediation Coaching Sessions.
QuizzesThere is a quiz at the end of each module. Quizzes must be successfully completed with a score of 75% or better.. If the quiz is not completed successfully, the participant may opt to retake it. When the participant is ready, they may retake the quiz. All repeated quiz attempts have different quiz questions. If needed, TRP tutors are available at an additional $30 per hour. Rounded to the nearest 1/4 hour.
Recorded Video Mock Mediation Practice and FeedbackWhen all modules have been completed, participants shall submit video recordings of themselves serving as mediators in mock mediation scenarios. The participants will be provided with mock mediation scenarios, with the specific objective that the mock mediation is designed to focus on. The objectives are the following:


1: The orientation and the agreement to mediate


2: Answering party questions about the process

 

3: The ground rules setting portion


4: Locating conflict cues


5: Managing party anger 


6: Managing breaches of ground rules set by the parties.


7: Locating and harvesting resolution points

8: Caucus


9: Mediating with two attorneys

10: Mediating with only one party represented by an attorney


11: Mediating the Closing (facilitating an employable, enforceable settlement agreement)


12: Mediating the entire mediation session from beginning to end without attorneys.


13: Mediating mediation as the whole session from beginning to end with attorneys.


Participants may engage their private role players (such as friends or relatives) to rehearse and perform with them at no cost. Professional role players may be hired at $50.00 per hour per professional role player. Professional role players must be scheduled by the participant and recorded on the participant’s Zoom account. The course role players only perform with the participant; they do not rehearse with the participant. The participant shall upload the completed recorded video to info@surpassimpasse.com. The recorded video will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of Thought Resolution Protocol specialists, and their feedback will be provided in a single report to the participant.  The specialists shall coach the participants one-on-one when needed and/or requested.
